if you know me, then you know i have a soft spot for black and white art, especially shit you can do with a pencil a paper and a sharpie. that said, Christauf's illustrations appeal to me. some of his work reminds me of my HXC days (i still listen to i killed the prom queen even though they broke up over what...5 years ago? dont judge me.) and other parts of his work are tattoo inspired. i can tell you right now, i want a tattoo of this:
now on the other end of the spectrum, there has been an illustration of some "fixie girl" or whatever. i hate the word fixie so i neglected to look at the illustration, but when i finally came to my senses and saw it, i liked what i saw:

this illustration was done by the folks at candyland studio. i really appreciate what goes into a drawing and this drawing reminds me of just that. the details are sick too: candyland kncukle gloves, caribineer, etc. but....where's her top tube?
