the only reason why he wasnt up front was because of tradition. contador was the team leader and therefore lance was just a man of honor. i'm not making excuses for him- his celebrity exceeds him too much that people EXPECT him to don a yellow jersey 24/7. lance was not the leader of astana, he was a teammate and therefore acted as such. so dont be mad. he'e going to be back next year- on a NEW TEAM (radioshack). hopefully they wont give him a gadget that allows him to twitter 100 times per stage.
