norwegian black metal.

i originally intended for this blog to be about metal and bikes so of course when something on my rss reader pops up about norwegian black metal of course im going to repost it.

i love documentaries like this.  i recall watching metal: a headbangers journey and seeing a snippet of this culture. it's raw- but according to alice cooper, some of norways darkest dudes are softies when they come within his presence. anywho, i find that norwegian metal is unique as to the ongoing presence of throaty primal screaming of austro/euro/american metal, and norwegian metal usually has an underlying premise behind it just like punk used to (nationalism, facism, anarchy, etc). i'd love to watch this....
